All faiths, all nations, all understandings
The YAH Challenge
YAH is not a religion and YAH is not a god. For one time in the year, let us all find our commonality in YAH, THE EXISTING ONE.
YAH has been called on throughout time immemorial. Long before any of us got here, and in more places than any one people can claim, the same sound has been used for the highest thing there is.
The challenge is to make something that says YAH
Art, graphics, music, whatever it is you make. A drawing, a painting, a graphic on your phone, a song, a beat, a poem, a photograph, a quilt, a sign for your yard, a video. Put YAH in it.
You can show your own god in it, with the word YAH. Nobody is asking you to leave your faith at the door or to swap it for somebody else's. Make what you believe, and let the word YAH be in it.
Then bring it to the feast, or send it in below and we will bring it for you.
In the Bible
YAH is the name THE CREATOR said to call HIM by.
In Buddhism
YAH is the name of the highest being.
In ancient Vedic teaching
YAH is the individual who symbolised creation and destruction, possibly related to Yama.
In agnostic belief systems
YAH means higher energy.
Across Asiatic culture
YAH is added to actions and to words to give them power, or to mark the power they already carry. In Hindu culture YAH is added to the deities to emphasise their power. YAH is even added to Islamic prayers to press their urgency and their importance.
YAH is everywhere
YAH is written in the lines of a human hand. YAH is written in the way tree branches grow, and in the way a plant stem climbs. YAH is the sound you make when you breathe, and the sound you make when you yawn.
YAH is not owned by anybody
YAH is not owned by any faith. Not by the Hebrews, not by the Israelites, not by any Semitic people. YAH is YAH.
The challenge
This year we have found so many ways to divide ourselves, and missed the very ONE we say every time we breathe.
YAH does not ask for much. For one time in the year, let us all find our commonality in YAH, THE EXISTING ONE.
If you hold another faith, one that does not use the Bible, that is fine. Continue in your faith, and still acknowledge YAH at this time of year.
This is an all faith, all nation, all understanding, and even atheist challenge, because YAH is not a religion and YAH is not a god.
